Session on 'Importance of Legal Services'
Inorder to commemorate 'Legal Services Day' a session on Importance of Legal Services was organized at Nirmala Institute of Education Altinho Panaji, for the F.Y. B.Ed.Teacher trainees and Faculty on 1st November 2023.The resource person for the session was Dr. Kim Rocha Couto, Vice Principal, V.M Salgaonkar Law College, Miramar.
The session was very informative. It was made lively and interactive by providing various relevant examples and the teacher trainees actively participated and interacted with the resource person. Overall it was an enriching session for the students which created an awareness about the significance of Legal services. This session was coordinated by Mrs. Suvarna P. Gauns, Associate Professor at NIE.
Another activity on Poster making was also conducted on 2nd November 2023. The topic was 'Aims & Objectives of Legal Service Authority'. The First Year B.Ed. Students enthusiastically prepared and displayed posters on the relevant theme, under the guidance of Assistant Professor Ms. Gautami Khandeparkar. This activity was an effective tool for evaluating the students' knowledge and also for creating an opportunity for active discussion.
Both these activities were conducted at the NIE campus, to create an awareness among the teacher trainees on the 'Importance of legal services and the role they play in ensuring justice and equality for all citizens.'
