As part of the nationwide campaign to commemorate the 5th Anniversary of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA) initiated by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment (DoSJE), Government of India, the Nirmala Institute of Education, Altinho-Panaji, organized a Mass Pledge activity on campus. The pledge-taking ceremony at the Institute was organized in the college auditorium on 3rd October 2025 from 2:45 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
IGNOU
The Nirmala Institute of Education through aMoU with the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) in January 2010 commenced as a Study Centre offering the B.Ed. and M.A. in Education.
The Study Centre is managed by the Programme-In-charge who in turn is supported by the Assistant Programme-In-charge, Part-time Faculty and support staff.
The Centre has recently inducted the fourth batch of students for the B.Ed. programme. The induction programme for the seventh batch of the M.A. Education follows.
The B.Ed. and M.A. in Education are distance education programmes and span two years. The instructional system followed is different from the conventional system as students receive the Study Learning Materials from the School of Education-IGNOU, on campus Counselling sessions and face-to-face support whenever the learners need it.
