A session on the topic 'Prevention of Sexual Harassment of Women at the Workplace (PoSH) Act 2013' was conducted for the F.Y. and S.Y.B.Ed. students of Nirmala Institute of Education Panaji on 10th March 2026 at 3:00 p.m. in the NIE Hall. The session was led by Ms. Priya Shirodkar and Ms. Abigail Fernandes, students of LLB and members of the PoSH Compliance Clinic of V.M. Salgaocar College of Law, Miramar who shared valuable knowledge and guidance on the importance of creating a safe and respectful workplace environment for women.
76th Republic Day Celebration
The Republic Day celebration at Nirmala Institute of Education on 26th January 2025 was hosted by Ms. Dalisa Andrade and Ms. Shannon Mascarenhas. The program commenced with a prayer led by Ms. Nicole Fonseca, followed by the hymn "Lord, We Pray for Golden Peace" by the republic day group members.
The Indian National Flag was then unfurled by our officiating Principal, Dr. Sr. Delia Antao, accompanied by Dr. Clifton Fernandes. The national anthem was subsequently sung guided by the commands of Ms. Pearl Fernandes. Ms. Vishaka Gawas eloquently shared her insightful views on the significance of Republic Day. This was followed by the soulful rendition of patriotic songs by the Republic Day Group members.
The celebration was further enriched with a captivating mime-skit and a graceful dance performance by the Republic Day group which was performed under the guidance of Ms.Gautami Khandeparkar, Assistant Professor in Performing Arts. Our esteemed Principal, Dr. Sr. Delia Antao, then graciously addressed the gathering with her inspiring thoughts on the essence of Republic Day. The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Keziah De Silva.
