A session on the topic 'Prevention of Sexual Harassment of Women at the Workplace (PoSH) Act 2013' was conducted for the F.Y. and S.Y.B.Ed. students of Nirmala Institute of Education Panaji on 10th March 2026 at 3:00 p.m. in the NIE Hall. The session was led by Ms. Priya Shirodkar and Ms. Abigail Fernandes, students of LLB and members of the PoSH Compliance Clinic of V.M. Salgaocar College of Law, Miramar who shared valuable knowledge and guidance on the importance of creating a safe and respectful workplace environment for women.
1st place in Street Play Competition
The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Goa in collaboration with Directorate of Higher Education & Government College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Sanquelim Organized State Level Inter-Collegiate Street play competition on the topic “URBAN APATHY AMONG YOUTH TOWARDS ELECTIONS” on 23rd January 2024 at Azad Maidan, Panaji Goa. The competition started with inaugural function in the presence of Shri. Ramesh Verma, IAS, Chief Electoral Officer, Smt. Triveni Velip, Joint Chief Electoral Officer, Dr. Gervasio S.F.L.Mendes along with the other faculty members of various colleges across Goa.
The competition aimed at creating awareness amongst Youth towards voting and to promote them towards active participation in Election. S.Y. B.Ed Teacher trainees from Nirmala Institute of Education actively participated and bagged with 1st place in Street play competition. Total 10 Students from NIE participated in the same and were guided by Ms. Gautami Khandeparkar. Student’s impactful play conveyed vital message about the significance of voting, importance of every youth’s vote in shaping the future of our nation. Competition ended with prize distribution ceremony around 2.00pm. It was a truly satisfying experience for the students.
