Activities Conducted Under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA)

The Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, in collaboration  with the Department of Social Welfare, Government of Goa, organized a special programme  under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA). The initiative aimed to create widespread  awareness among youth and the general public about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to  encourage a drug-free lifestyle through cultural engagement and community participation. 

In accordance with the directive issued by the Directorate of Higher Education, Government  of Goa, the Registrar of Goa University and the Principals of all Government and Aided  Colleges were requested to organize the following competitions on the theme "Nasha Mukt  Bharat Abhiyaan"

1. Essay Competition 

2. Rangoli Competition (for Girls) 

Following the circular, Nirmala Institute of Education, Altinho–Panaji, conducted both the  Essay and Rangoli Competitions on 6th August 2025

 Essay Competition: 10 students participated 

Rangoli Competition: 7 female students participated 

Theme: Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA) 

Participants expressed their understanding of the theme through insightful essays and creative  rangoli designs. The competitions received enthusiastic responses and showcased the students'  awareness and creativity.
