A session on the topic 'Prevention of Sexual Harassment of Women at the Workplace (PoSH) Act 2013' was conducted for the F.Y. and S.Y.B.Ed. students of Nirmala Institute of Education Panaji on 10th March 2026 at 3:00 p.m. in the NIE Hall. The session was led by Ms. Priya Shirodkar and Ms. Abigail Fernandes, students of LLB and members of the PoSH Compliance Clinic of V.M. Salgaocar College of Law, Miramar who shared valuable knowledge and guidance on the importance of creating a safe and respectful workplace environment for women.
Installation of Students Council 2022
The Nirmala Institute of Education facilitated the installation ceremony of the Students’ Council 2002 on 9th September, 2022.
The Students’ Council comprises of a total of 19 students. Of the 19, 12 are pursuing the F.Y.B.Ed while the remaining seven are with the S.Y.B.Ed.
The Officiating Principal Dr. Delia Antao, Mrs. Ximena Fonseca – Faculty Member, Dr. Maya Carvalho – College Librarian, Mrs. Lia D’Souza – Head Clerk, Ms. Geeta Hosmani - MTS pinned chest badges on every designated Council member.

Dr. Delia Antao addressed the gathering through her words of knowledge and values. This was followed by the Oath administered by Dr. Delia Antao. The Chair, Mr. Saeesh Korgaonkar delivered his address through which he urged the student body to be supportive. The Vice-Chair, Ms. Sherianne Coutinho concluded with the Vote of Thanks. The event ended with the National Anthem.
Dr. Russell D’Souza and Ms. Anagha Deshpande are the faculty members in-charge of the Students’ Council 2022. The compere of the ceremony was Ms. De Melo e Granjo Virginia Marisa Santana.
