Nirmala Institute of Education organized a Human Rights and Advocacy Session on 5th January 2026 for the First Year B.Ed. students. The session was conducted by Br. Tino who guided the students through key concepts related to human rights and social responsibility. The programme was attended by the Principal, faculty members, and First Year teacher trainees.
Mass Pledge Activity conducted on 03rd October 2025
As part of the nationwide campaign to commemorate the 5th Anniversary of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA) initiated by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment (DoSJE), Government of India, the Nirmala Institute of Education, Altinho-Panaji, organized a Mass Pledge activity on campus. The pledge-taking ceremony at the Institute was organized in the college auditorium on 3rd October 2025 from 2:45 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
A total of 100 students and 30 staff members of the Institute participated in the activity. The pledge was taken offline. The NMBA Mascot, Logo, Slogan and Mass Plldge QR Code, was also displayed prominently on the college notice boards as per the directive of the Directorate of Higher Education, Goa.
The event was graced by the presence of Principal, Dr. Russell D’Souza, and coordinated by Mr. Subodh Haldankar, who together with the teaching staff, non-teaching staff, and students, reaffirmed their commitment to fight against substance abuse.
The initiative aimed to spread awareness about the ill effects of drug abuse, promote the NMBA helpline 14446, and reinforce the collective resolve towards building a healthier, safer, and drug-free society.
