Nirmala Institute of Education organized a Campus Placement Programme jointly by the Alumni Association of NIE and the Placement Cell of NIE, in collaboration with GEMS Education, on 19 September 2026.
QUIZ COMPETITION ON INDIA’S FREEDOM STRUGGLE, NATIONAL SYMBOLS, VANDE MATARAM AND RELATED THEMES
The Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Goa, in collaboration with The Directorate of Art and Culture Panaji-Goa, Government of Goa, undertook a Statewide Observance of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga 2026, Vande Mataram@150, and Partition Horrors Remembrance Day’. In response to this initiative, Nirmala Institute of Education, Altinho- Panaji-Goa, conducted the proposed activities during the period from 10th August 2026 to 17th August 2026 in creating awareness with regard to India’s freedom struggle, and remembrance of the sacrifice and hardships associated with the partitions of India.
An online quiz was organised by the Knowledge Resource Centre for the students of F.Y.B.Ed. on the occasion of the 79th Independence Day. The quiz included questions on History and General Knowledge. A total of 44 students participated in the quiz, which was conducted online on 14 August 2026 from 11:20 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The quiz link was shared in the students’ group, and the participants were given 10 minutes to complete the quiz. The quiz received enthusiastic participation from the students.
Mr Akhil Naik emerged as the winner, followed by Ms Shruti Dessai in second place and Ms Tanya Mandrekar in third place.
