Free Medical Camp
Nirmala Institute of Education, under the aegis of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), in collaboration with the Adv. Caetano Do Rosario Rodrigues Memorial Trust, organised a Free Medical Camp on 15 August 2026 at 9:15 a.m. at the institute premises. The initiative aimed to promote preventive healthcare, early detection of common health concerns and awareness of healthy living practices.
The programme commenced after the Independence Day flag-hoisting ceremony. A total of 89 participants benefited from the medical camp. The camp provided basic health screening facilities, including blood tests and blood pressure checks, enabling participants to assess important health parameters and become more aware of their health status.
A team of visiting specialist doctors provided consultations in Orthopaedics, Dermatology, ENT, General Surgery, General Medicine, Ophthalmology and Dentistry. Participants had the opportunity to discuss their health concerns directly with specialists and receive appropriate medical advice and guidance. An important component of the camp was the series of informative health talks delivered by the visiting doctors. The talks highlighted preventive healthcare, awareness of common health conditions and the importance of timely medical consultation. Participants actively engaged with the doctors, asked questions and sought clarification regarding their health concerns.
The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from members of the institute and the local community. The initiative provided convenient access to healthcare services while encouraging participants to adopt healthier and more informed lifestyles. The Free Medical Camp reflected the institution’s commitment to quality enhancement, community engagement and social responsibility. The collaboration with the Adv. Caetano Do Rosario Rodrigues Memorial Trust and the visiting medical professionals enabled Nirmala Institute of Education to contribute meaningfully towards promoting health awareness and preventive healthcare. The programme concluded successfully with appreciation expressed to the doctors, organisers, volunteers and all participants who contributed to making the initiative a meaningful and beneficial one.
