Geography Day Programme

The Geography Pedagogy unit of Nirmala Institute of Education in collaboration with IQAC organised "Geographia: An adventurous trip across India" on 30th March 2022 from 3.15p.m. to 4.30 p.m. under the guidance of Ms. Daniella Colaco.
The programme depicted a travel scene where the hosts were the air hostess and the audience were the passengers. They were taken on a trip to six different  states, namely : Kashmir, Rajasthan, North East, Kerala, Goa and Karnataka. The programme portrayed a little bit of culture, geography and environmental issues. There were dance performances of Rajasthan, Goa and Kerala and two skits, one on water disputes and the other on saving trees. The programme ended with a song on INDIA, composed by Valaenka Gomes (Fy.B.Ed. student) after which the winners of the competitions were declared. There were also competitions organised for the first year and second year B.Ed. students such as 'Relish the dish' where students had to prepare a sweet dish of any state in India and submit a pre-recorded video, and 'Snap it' where students had to make a reel of different locations in Goa and inscribe a message on it. The Geography Day celebration was indeed an invigorating experience. After the programme all the students posed for photographs in the photo booth to capture the wonderful moments.
