A session on the topic 'Prevention of Sexual Harassment of Women at the Workplace (PoSH) Act 2013' was conducted for the F.Y. and S.Y.B.Ed. students of Nirmala Institute of Education Panaji on 10th March 2026 at 3:00 p.m. in the NIE Hall. The session was led by Ms. Priya Shirodkar and Ms. Abigail Fernandes, students of LLB and members of the PoSH Compliance Clinic of V.M. Salgaocar College of Law, Miramar who shared valuable knowledge and guidance on the importance of creating a safe and respectful workplace environment for women.
TEACHERS DAY CELEBRATION
The F.Y B.Ed. Trainees of NIE celebrated Teachers day on campus.
The theme for the day was chosen on the lines of UNESCO's world teachers day-'The teachers we need for the education we want: The global imperative to reverse the teacher shortage.'
The Teachers' Day is celebrated on 5th September to commemorate the birthday of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the country's first Vice President and former President, scholar, philosopher, and Bharat Ratna awardee.
The trainees presented a skit highlighting the various values a teacher has to incorporate in the profession. A medley of songs in english, konkani and hindi were rendered to liven up the event. An impromptu action game was conducted for the Faculty and non-teaching staff. The Officiating Principal, in her address, stressed upon the core values that make up a good teacher.
