Nirmala Institute of Education emerged as the champions of WordsUp 5.0.

The teacher trainees from Nirmala Institute of Education showcased their talents at a state-level inter-collegiate word-based event – WordsUp 5.0, held on February 8th, 9th, and 10th, 2024. This event was hosted by the Department of English at St. Xavier’s College, Mapusa.

The team clinched the top position in the overall category, with team members excelling in various events:

2nd place for Rap Battle: Adriel Antao

1st place for Enchanted Musical: Joylita Silviera, Jesuslee D'souza, Clint Noel Fernandes, Gracy Fernandes, Adriel Antao, and Rania Gomes

1st place for the Yummiest of Them All: Mallaika D'souza and Patricia D'souza

2nd place for Wiz Quiz: Valencia D'souza and Rucha Desai

1st place for Get Out of My Swamp: Rania Gomes

1st place for Peter Pan's Pirate Pursuit (Letter Writing): Anabelle D'Cunha

2nd place for A Folklore of Six and Four: Mrunal Keny and Tanisha Fernandes
