A session held on “Google Apps in Education: Empowering Teaching and Learning”

Nirmala Institute of Education under the aegis of Internal Quality Assurance cell (IQAC), organized a session on "Google Apps in Education for teaching learning process" on the 18th of March 2024 for the F.Y.B.Ed. teacher trainees. The resource person for the session was Assistant Professor Ms. Daniella Colaco. The objective of the session was to train and introduce the trainees to the finer nuances of Google apps.

Under the aegis of Internal Quality Assurance cell (IQAC), Nirmala Institute of Education organised a session on Google Apps in Education and how it can be implemented in the teaching learning process. The resource person for the session was Ma’am Daniella Colaco.  The objective of the session was to train and introduce to F.Y. B.Ed. trainees the finer nuances of Google apps.

The session provided the teacher trainees with a comprehensive understanding of how to utilize Google Forms for creating quizzes and analysing student performance effectively. By using its friendly interface, add-on features, teachers can streamline the assessment process and gain information regarding the progress of every student with ease. We explored the different types of questions supported by Google Forms, including multiple choice, short answer, checkboxes, and dropdowns. Additionally, teacher trainees learned how to add images, backgrounds and videos to enhance questions. Ma’am gave us time to explore and create a google form on the topic of our choice using the features taught to us during the session. 

In conclusion, the session on Google Forms and Docs proved to be both engaging, effective and educational, offering teacher trainees valuable insights into creating quizzes, exploring various features within the google app and analysing student performance effectively.
