The NIE-Eco Club marked Vana Mahotsav on 17th July, 2024 with a tree plantation drive on campus, aligned with the year's (2024) theme of 'Land restoration, desertification, and drought resilience' under the slogan 'Our Land, Our Future'. Dr. Delia Antao, the officiating Principal, led the participation, joined by faculty, administrative staff, and Eco-Club students. Plant saplings were distributed to students during the event.
Street Play on ‘Urban Apathy amongst Youth towards Elections’
As a part of a Systematic Voter’s Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) activity, students from S.Y.B.Ed Performed a street play at NIE Campus on 23 January 2024 under the guidance of Ms. Gautami Khandeparkar. The street play was performed on the theme ‘Urban Apathy amongst Youth towards Election’, which highlighted the importance of voting and how it’s mandatory for youngster to choose a good leader for our Nation. This activity intended to create awareness amongst youth about how they play a crucial role in developing the country.
Students from F.Y.B.Ed , S.Y.B.Ed, teaching and non teaching staff witnessed the role play. The students portrayed how one vote can make a difference and the facilities provided by the government during election. The main aim of the street was to make youngsters and citizens aware and awake to come forward and vote. A total 10 teacher trainees participated in the role play.
