The Department of Physical Education and Sports, Nirmala Institute of Education, Altinho-Panaji, under the aegis of IQAC, organized the 12th International Day of Yoga
on 21st June, Sunday, 2026 from 9.30 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. in the B.Ed. Hall. The programme was conducted in accordance with the theme “Yoga for Healthy
Ageing: Transforming Daily Habit into a Culture of Wellness.” Students and staff enthusiastically participated in the celebration.
31st Konkani Rashtramanyatai Dis
The First year B.Ed.Teacher trainees of Nirmala Institute of Education, Panaji commemorated the '31st Konkani Rashtramanyatai Dis'. The teacher trainee of Konkani pedagogy Ms.Pooja with her team designed and prepared a poster related to the theme under the guidance of Mrs. Suvarna Gauns and displayed it in the NIE campus.
The objective was to create an awareness among the other teacher trainees and mark the importance of the day 20th August, in the history of Goa's Konkani language which was included in the Eighth Schedule to the Constitution of India on 20th August 1992 as a recognised Official Language.
