The Department of Physical Education and Sports, Nirmala Institute of Education, Altinho-Panaji, under the aegis of IQAC, organized the 12th International Day of Yoga
on 21st June, Sunday, 2026 from 9.30 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. in the B.Ed. Hall. The programme was conducted in accordance with the theme “Yoga for Healthy
Ageing: Transforming Daily Habit into a Culture of Wellness.” Students and staff enthusiastically participated in the celebration.
Session on Teaching Learning Resources
As part of the curriculum and under the aegis of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell -IQAC; the Faculty of Art & Aesthetics -Visual Arts Mr. Raymond Pereira conducted a session on 'Teaching Learning Resources' for the S.Y. B.Ed. Trainees batch 2022-24 from 9:30am-11:00am, on the 27/7/23.
The objective of the session was to inculcate in each of the young teacher aspirants the finer aspects of newer mediums, materials in teaching art. An effective teaching resource is a key to learning and understanding the concepts of any subject.
The Teaching Aids / Materials help learners improve-
1- COMPREHENSION SKILLS,
2- ILLUSTRATE EFFECTIVELY A CONCEPT OR AN IDEA
3- REINFORCE THE SUBJECT FROM BOREDOM TO DEVELOP INTEREST AND EXCITEMENT.
The various materials, mediums used in the making of the Instructional Aids were discussed and a hands on working session was conducted to familiarise the trainees.
