Organised A Capacity Building Session on “Exploring Artificial Intelligence in Educational Research”

The Teaching, Learning and Educational Technology (TLET) Cell, under the aegis of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Nirmala Institute of Education, Altinho–Panaji, Goa, organised a Capacity Building Session for faculty members and alumni on the topic “Exploring Artificial Intelligence in Educational Research” on 17th February 2026 from 1:50 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Computer Lab of the institution.

The session was convened and coordinated by the TLET Cell Coordinator, Dr. Subodh Haldankar. The TLET Cell members Prof. (Dr.) Maya Carvalho e Rodrigues, Ms. Shylaja Sherief, and Ms. Maria Goretti Falcao were also involved in organising the programme.

The session was conducted by Ms. Daniella Colaco, Assistant Professor – NIE, who served as the Resource Person. The session focused on exploring SciSpace as an AI-powered tool for writing research proposals and research papers. Ms. Colaco demonstrated how the platform can assist researchers in reviewing literature, structuring proposals, drafting research papers, and using references efficiently.

The programme was conducted in a hands-on format. Faculty members attended with their own laptops and actively engaged with the platform during the live demonstration. This practical approach enabled participants to explore the features of SciSpace in real time, clarify their queries, and understand its application in strengthening academic research work.

A total of 10 faculty members attended and actively participated in the session. The programme was well-received and proved to be both informative and relevant in enhancing the research competencies of the faculty members.

The session concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Dr. Pratiksha Shirodkar.
