On the occasion of World Environment Day and in-keeping with this year’s theme for the same - ‘Only One Earth’ , the NIE-SAC and the Eco Club organised a sapling planting ceremony on the 6 th of June 2022 on the college campus. The Officiating Principal, Dr. Delia Antao along with the Faculty and the Administrative Staff participated in the activity with great enthusiasm.

(2020-2022 Batch) and the First year B.Ed (2021-2023) teacher trainees of Konkani Methodology, Nirmala Institute of Education under the aegis of IQAC on 13^th April 2022 from 3.15 pm to 4.45pm at NIE, under the guidance of Mrs.

A Session on Women’s Rights

On Tuesday, June 25, 2024, the SAKSHAM Cell, under the aegis of IQAC, organised an enlightening session at NIE centered on Women's Rights. The session's primary aim was to raise awareness among teacher-trainees and imbue them with knowledge concerning various facets of women's rights.

Tree Planation Drive 2024

On July 12, 2024, Nirmala Institute of Education, in collaboration with the Goa Forest Department North Goa Division, Panaji Range, conducted a successful tree plantation drive as part of the Vanmahotsav 2024 celebration. The event focused on planting various fruit-bearing trees chosen for their ecological benefits and potential to provide nutritional fruit. Faculty, staff, and students from the B.Ed. and D.El.Ed. programs actively participated in this activity. The collaboration with the Goa Forest Department was instrumental, providing the saplings.

Mathematics: Invented or Discovered?

Mr. Franklin de Sa, Assistant Professor in Mathematics at St. Xavier’s College Mapusa, Goa delivered a Seminar on the topic “Mathematics: Invented or Discovered?” to the B.Ed. students of Nirmala Institute of Education, Altinho on 29^th February 2024. The speaker was introduced by Miss Deepti Muli.

Teach for India

Mr. Keshav Nautiyal and Mr. Kanishk Chobisa conducted an engaging session on 23rd February 2024 with the students of the B.Ed. and D.Ed. departments. The session was organised by Miss. Ninoschka Pinto. The speakers were introduced by Miss. Amulya KB. The session was attended by a resounding 150 students. The speakers introduced the topic of the day by making the students acquainted with real facts of our country which most of us aren’t exposed to. In India, the literacy rate for people aged seven and above is 74.04%.

Celebration of Maths Day 2024

The 19th of March 2024 brought excitement to the entire department of B.Ed. as the mathematics students expanded the limits of their creativity and energy in organizing “Mathematica” A single day event to celebrate mathematics and all its wonders.
