Goy Asmitai Dis, commemorating the historic 1967 Opinion Poll in Goa, was celebrated at Nirmala Institute of Education on 14 January 2026. As part of the celebration, Dr. Russell D’Souza, Principal of Nirmala Institute of Education, addressed the gathering, followed by an insightful session by the renowned speaker and historian, Mr. Sanjeev V. Sardesai.
Nirmala Institute of Education organized a Human Rights and Advocacy Session on 5th January 2026 for the First Year B.Ed. students. The session was conducted by Br. Tino who guided the students through key concepts related to human rights and social responsibility. The programme was attended by the Principal, faculty members, and First Year teacher trainees.
As part of the nationwide campaign to commemorate the 5th Anniversary of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA) initiated by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment (DoSJE), Government of India, the Nirmala Institute of Education, Altinho-Panaji, organized a Mass Pledge activity on campus. The pledge-taking ceremony at the Institute was organized in the college auditorium on 3rd October 2025 from 2:45 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
On 9th October 2025, Nirmala Institute of Education, under the aegis of IQAC, organized an insightful and thought-provoking session on Cyber Safety. The resource person for the session was PI Shri Vidyanand Pawar, an expert in cyber law and digital forensics.
The Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, in collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare, Government of Goa, organized a special programme under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA). The initiative aimed to create widespread awareness among youth and the general public about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to encourage a drug-free lifestyle through cultural engagement and community participation.
