The Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, in collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare, Government of Goa, organized a special programme under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA). The initiative aimed to create widespread awareness among youth and the general public about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to encourage a drug-free lifestyle through cultural engagement and community participation.
A Workshop on Generative AI was organized on Tuesday, 19th August 2025, from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm at the Main Hall, Nirmala Institute of Education, Panjim, Goa, under the Lenovo Leap NextGen Scholar Program in collaboration with the Government of Goa and BharatCares. The program was conducted under the guidance of Principal, Dr. Russell D’Souza, and coordinated by Mr. Subodh Haldankar, TIP Coordinator.
The Parent Teacher Association meeting was held on the morning of 9th August 2025, beginning with a hymn and a welcome dance. Ms. Olga Vaz welcomed the attendees, followed by the felicitation of Sneha Fernandes and an inspiring address by the Principal. Highlights included insightful sessions by Ms. Sulaxa Gawas on academic and emotional resilience, and Ms. Viola Castelino on personality testing, story of the Institute by the Director, Dr. Rita Paes. The Student Council was formally installed, and the new PTA Executive Committee was inducted: Mr. Tome Joao De Souza (President), Mrs.
Nirmala Institute of Education in association with Leadership Studio organized a Leadership Camp on 11th July 2025 to equip students with essential leadership qualities through interactive learning and personal reflection.
On 24th June 2025 , Nirmala Institute of Education ,Altinho- Goa arranged a visit to Dharohar: the National Museumof Customs and GST for the teacher-trainees of S.Y.Ed.67 teacher - trainees ( 62 girls and 5 boys ) along with 5 faculty members visited GST Museum.
